The interlocutor of Agency TASS said that we are talking about an embargo of the European Union on the import of arms and military equipment to Russia and from Russia. “We welcome all participants of the exhibition, Russian and all others that meet the recommendations of the Commission”, – said the representative of the press service.

The organizers noted that in 2016, “Farnborough” was presented to a significant number of Russian companies: “Il”, “Irkut”, “rostekh”, “Dry”, Rosvertol, the KLA and “Volga-Dnepr group”. “We expect the same participation of Russia in 2018”, — stated in the message.

The ban on participation in the exhibition is associated with the sanctions that the European Union has imposed against Russia 31 July 2014 in connection with the conflict in Ukraine. The sanctions prohibit countries block the import, purchase and transport of arms from Russia.

The next Farnborough will be held from 16 to 22 July. Last year Russian companies due to sanctions could demonstrate only civil products.
