The ex-President of Ukraine on the Donbass will be less of Transnistria

The former President of Ukraine (1994-2005) Leonid Kuchma, representing Kiev in the trilateral contact group on the settlement, expressed his opinion about the plans of the Russian authorities regarding Donbass.

He was skeptical about the prospects for a settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Three taken Moscow paragraph of the 29 in the proposal of Washington to Kuchma’s still zero: Kiev insists on the widespread presence of peacekeepers in the Donbass, including the border with Russia.

“And what does the Russian at the line of contact is to make a new border with Ukraine, and to do something like Transnistria, again frozen conflict”, – quotes the words of ex-President of “Ukrainian truth”. Understanding Kuchma is even worse in Transnistria – there is no border with Russia, and here, 420 kilometers of border, “uncontrolled at all.
