Media law-registered as foreign agents will not affect Russian edition

The head of the Duma Committee on information policy, Leonid Levin, said that the new amendments to the legislation that allow to classify the media to be registered as foreign agents, will not affect the Russian media. According to the MP, they will affect only the foreign media.

The MP also noted that innovations not restrict freedom of speech.

“Bill is an exceptional measure caused by the use of the American party of its law on foreign agents,” said Levin.
