Safronov called the investigation of the OPCW hostile to Damascus

Commenting on the investigation into chemical attacks in Syria by the OPCW, Deputy permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations Vladimir Safronkov said that countries participating in this investigation, initially prejudiced against the ruling regime in Syria., writes RT.

“The objectivity of the investigation by the OPCW would have been higher if the mission was formed on a broad geographical basis. Currently the key positions in it are held by representatives involved in the Syrian conflict countries that are hostile to the regime of the SAR…Mission failed to obtain key evidence. All the conclusions of her work was based on circumstantial evidence, the majority of which was provided by the opposition and fully zaproektirovany non-governmental agencies,” he said.
