Erdogan accused the US of lying

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rejected claims of U.S. officials about what they allegedly can’t meet with the arrested employee of the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul. The Turkish leader argues that “the United States lie to the world”. According to Erdogan, meeting with the prisoner had not asked.

Erdogan added that Ankara is concerned about the hypocrisy of countries who call themselves partners of Turkey. “When they met eye to eye they make promises and guarantees, and behind our backs are a dirty game,” he said.

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara does not agree with the arrest of an employee of the US Consulate General in Istanbul Metina Topusa. In Turkey, according to media reports, Topusa accused of undermining the constitutional order and spying activities.
