The Minister of defence of Ukraine has declared readiness to resign over a corruption scandal

The head of the military Department Square Stepan Poltorak on Thursday, October 12, said he was ready to resign and to leave his high post of Minister of defense of Ukraine “at any time” in connection with the arrest of his Deputy, Igor Pavlovsky, who was involved in a corruption scandal and a suspected embezzlement of funds in the Ukrainian army, reports “Ukrainian truth”.

The head of the defense Ministry of Ukraine has urged not to accuse his Deputy of the Pavlovsk until the court until his guilt has not been formally proven.

“General Pavlovsky professionally acted, was the head of military operations in Mariupol, Donetsk region, but in the case of involvement in the crime he should be held accountable,” — said Poltorak.

Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has threatened to cut off hands for theft in the Ukrainian army.
