The head of UNESCO has expressed deep regret over the US decision on withdrawal

The head of a specialized Agency of the United Nations for education, science and culture Irina Bokova on Thursday, October 12, reacted to the decision of the American foreign Minister on withdrawal from UNESCO. Her statement published on the official website of the international cultural organizations.

“I want to Express my deep regret at the decision of the United States of America to withdraw from UNESCO,” said Bokova.

According to her, it’s a loss for UNESCO, for the whole UN family and the international system, where each state enjoys the privilege in dealings with all partners.

Bokova also expressed the hope that UNESCO’s work in several areas close to the American people.
