Putin thanked the Saudi king for his first ever visit to Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the results of the visit of the king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud.

“I am confident that your visit will promote the development of our interstate relations,” Putin said.

He thanked the king for accepting the invitation to visit Russia, which resulted in the first visit by a Saudi king in Russia in the history of bilateral relations. Putin recalled that in 1926, the Soviet Union became the first nation to recognize the Kingdom established by the father of the present monarch, Abdul Aziz bin Saud.
