U.S. toughens sanctions on loans of Russian banks from 28 November


The U.S. Treasury issued a Directive, according to which restrictions on the financing of banks and companies in the oil and gas sector of the Russian Federation will come into effect from November 28. Recall that these measures are contained in the new law on sanctions against Russia earlier adopted by the Parliament of the United States and signed by President Donald trump. The law provides that the maximum term of financing of Russian banks included in the sanctions list should not exceed 14 days. With regard to oil and gas companies of Russia, that this term is defined in 60 days.
