Poroshenko made a change in the law “About education” after discussions with Europe


The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has allowed the possibility of changing linguistic norms in the new law “On education”.

“The new law on education should not alienate Ukraine from Europe, but rather to approach, – said Poroshenko, speaking to educators. – I would appreciate it if our Minister that we were not passive, but actively defended their vision of the statutory rights of national minorities. Also emphasize that the results of these discussions can be taken into account in the new edition of secondary education”.

Poroshenko said that Ukraine will not react to statements of the Russian Federation in this situation.
