“The United States is not prepared to allow the military superiority of Russia over a… the White house must continue to convince the Kremlin both directly and together with its allies to return to full and verifiable compliance with the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range. The situation when the United States to honor the agreement, and Russia, are unacceptable,” – he said at a meeting of the Committee on armed services of the Senate of the U.S. Congress.
“Currently, the Russian Federation has expanded its ability to strike with both nuclear and non-nuclear means, which poses a threat to the Armed forces of our country and allies in Europe and the Pacific. In this regard, efforts should be made to have all the necessary capabilities – both offensive and defensive, not allowing Russia to achieve military superiority in breach of the INF Treaty,” said the General, whose words are quoted by TASS.
