The UN has recommended that Russia used in Crimea, Ukrainian laws


The office of the UN high Commissioner called on the authorities in Russia to use the Crimea to the Ukrainian legislation. This is stated in the report posted on the website of the office.

The document contains recommendations “to apply Ukrainian laws in Crimea, according to the resolutions of the General Assembly” and “to ensure the availability of education in the Ukrainian language”.

Also in the report identified in the Crimea violations: one of them called illegal arrests and detention, kidnapping, and torture, ill-treatment, and at least one case of murder.

The Ombudsman of Russia Tatyana Moskalkova criticized prepared by the Office of the UN high Commissioner report on the situation of human rights on the Peninsula.

She stated that she repeatedly visited the Crimea, and well acquainted with the situation on the Peninsula.

In this regard, the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation expressed regret that the UN high Commissioner “so unfair and biased appreciated the state of Affairs” in the Crimea.
