Nebenzia told about the plans of ISIS to gain a foothold in Afghanistan


Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia during his speech at the debate of the Security Council of the world organisation for Afghan settlement have expressed concern about the increase in terrorist activity in Afghanistan.

“The Russian side is concerned about the degradation of the military situation and increase in terrorist activity in Afghanistan, especially the Afghan militant wing of the Islamic state (a terrorist group banned in Russia – approx. ed.) who intend to dig in the Northern provinces of the country. According to our estimates, currently in Afghanistan is more than 7,000 is militants”, – he said.
