Turkey will protect its national security from the Kurdish referendum

The Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said on Monday, speaking on TV, that citizens can be relaxed, because Turkey is not going to enter the war because of the referendum on the independence of Iraqi Kurdistan.

“But we will protect our national security,” – said the Turkish Prime Minister.

Earlier, Turkey and Iran began military exercises near the borders of Iraqi Kurdistan. In addition, Turkey has already announced that it will stop training the Kurdish forces of the Peshmerga, which was conducted previously with the aim of dealing with terrorists.
