The press service of the Ukrainian President reported that Poroshenko signed the law “On education”.

Poroshenko stressed that the law enhances the role of the Ukrainian language in the educational process.

The law has caused controversy because of rules about language learning.

The fact that under this law the children of representatives of national minorities will study in their native language and simultaneously learn Ukrainian. With the 5th grade’s native language will remain only as a separate discipline. And since September 2020 education will be fully Ukrainian.
