Tillerson has accused Russia of violating the INF Treaty

The head of foreign policy Department of the USA Rex Tillerson blamed the Russian authorities that in recent years Russia has weakened efforts in non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

“Unfortunately, in recent years, Russia’s actions weaken global rules and undermine the principle of responsible Nations, for example, the INF Treaty, the violation of the security assurances provided at the end of the cold war,… and also making attempts to undermine the independence of the IAEA in the investigation of covert nuclear programs. To recover its role as a credible actor in the resolution of the crisis around North Korea, Russia could prove its intentions in meeting its obligations in nuclear security and arms control”, – he said.
