Poroshenko discussed with UN Secretary General prospects of sending peacekeepers to the Donbass

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres prospect of sending UN peacekeeping forces in the conflict zone in the Donbass, reported on the official Internet representation of the Ukrainian President.

The head of Square said that only a full-fledged peacekeeping mission of the international organization with a General mandate, is able to get closer to the main goal — the restoration of peace in the Donbass.

In addition, the Ukrainian leader urged the UN to join the procedure of liberation of the Ukrainian prisoners in the “occupied” territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
