Facebook has sent to Congress critical of Russian interference in American elections

Vice-President of Facebook, Elliot Schrage said in the company blog that after intense analysis of legal norms, it was decided to convey to Congress the details on the advertisement associated with the Russian Federation.

“This will help the authorities to complete the vital job of assessing what happened in the elections of 2016”, – the statement says Schrage. He stressed that the law prohibits public disclosure of this information.

Previously the social network Facebook said that some of the Russian bots during the presidential campaign in the United States bought the network is to use it to influence the outcome of the race.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov denied any involvement of Moscow in this.
