Poroshenko urged the United Nations to recognize the famine 30-ies in the Ukraine genocide

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to the General Assembly of the UN called for recognition of famine in Ukraine of 1932-1933 an act of genocide.

“It was an artificial famine in Ukraine in 1932-1933, organized by the totalitarian regime of Stalin, which led to the deaths of seven to ten million Ukrainians”, – quotes Poroshenko “Rain”.

According to the Ukrainian President, the UN has always “played a leading role in ensuring that the crimes of the past could never be repeated”, and he urged the UN to take “private historical decision on the recognition of Holodomor as act of genocide”.
