Medvedev said the U.S. desire to “bury” the “Nord stream-2”

The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has criticized the actions of the US in relation to the project “Northern stream-2”. In his view, Washington has released a sanction to this project that won an American company.

“Amerikanska administration, and of Congress of course that such decisions are made, trying to get their suppliers and to replace the Russian market,” Medvedev said at a press conference after a meeting with Prime Minister Juha of Sipila.

According to Medvedev, the position of the European Commission, which has offered Russia to sign on to this project a separate agreement, also not in the interests of Russia.

“In our view, is unacceptable from the point of view of equal treatment of all investors as the similar projects implemented without agreements on the basis of bilateral agreements,” Medvedev said.
