The Ministry of economic development and trade (MEDT) of Ukraine – the same that the previous President Viktor Yanukovych led current ruler Nezalezhnosti Petro Poroshenko has imposed sanctions against several group companies “EuroChem” and other Russian suppliers of fertilizers.
Sanctions in the form of suspension of foreign economic activity just listed Russian entities imposed on representation of the Main military Prosecutor Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
The military Prosecutor’s office of the GPU demanded from the Ministry to impose sanctions against Russian producers of mineral fertilizers after receiving several intelligence and counter-intelligence agencies of Ukraine information from the Donetsk and Lugansk national republics. Supposedly the funds levied by the LC and the DNI to “clearance” the Russian mineral fertilizers are then used “for the financing of illegal armed formations” (official Kyiv calls the army of the breakaway republics).
Previously it was assumed that from February 28, 2017 in the next five years was to be levied anti-dumping duties on imports of urea (urea), and mixtures of urea and ammonium nitrate originating from the Russian Federation in the amount of from 4,19% to 31.84% depending on the manufacturer. However, after some time, the Interdepartmental Commission for international trade decided to suspend these anti-dumping measures.
Starting in may 2017 anti-dumping duties on imports of carbamide and carbamide-ammonia mixture is still in force. “Poroshenkovsko” the Ministry, of course, set a maximum level of “sanctions” – 31, 84 percent. …
