The Russians supported a fictional candidate, “selected” Putin


Sociologists “Levada-center” was invented fictional presidential candidate of the Russian Federation Evgeny Semenov, who allegedly was appointed as his successor Vladimir Putin, and asked whether they are ready to vote for him. It turned out that 18% of Russians agree.

To answer the question, write “Vedomosti”, 15% of respondents stated that nothing was heard about Semenov and his support for the President, but it will not stop them from supporting it. Another 3% stated that Semenov know and are also ready to vote for him.

Thus, support for the fictitious candidate, “Putin” expressed 18% of Russians.

At the same time against Semenov spoke 71% of the respondents, 8% of which it, too, is “heard”.

The remaining respondents (11%) were not defined with the position.

The second survey, “Levada”, on the actually existing policies, showed that Putin’s candidacy for a new term support 48% of Russians, and of those who intend to come to the polls — 60%.

The rating of other politicians made up only a few percent: 3% for Gennady Zyuganov, 2%, Alexei Navalny, etc. Finally, more than two thirds of respondents expressed the desire to continue to live under the rule of Putin after 2018.

The results of the experiment with a fictitious character sociologists explained that the unconditional support of the authorities is for the population of socially approved response. Earlier, the “Levada” has already held a poll about a fictitious “Party of youth”, which have gained more percentage of votes than some of the actually existing party.
