Lukashenko explained separate part with Putin on doctrines “the West-2017”


President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, previously announced the completion of a strategic military manoeuvres of Belarus and Russia “West-2017” on Wednesday, September 20, stated that he and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had agreed to separate the part in the Russian-Belarusian military exercise to better to reach and to control the maneuvers of each of the leaders on its territory, reports “BelTA”.

“We agreed that, because, after all, the main phase is really here (in Belarus), but a very major exercise was taking place in Leningrad region, the President of Russia to inspect and to observe the teachings in the North, and I — in the center,” — said the Belarusian leader.

Lukashenka has also noted that experiencing feelings of gratitude to the Russian and Belarusian military personnel for what he was asked to control the particular focus of the exercises “West-2017”.

“We had planned together, to attend the teachings, but the course decided that we should split up and cover more widely this doctrine is that people see presidents — where they work, how,” — said the Belarusian head of state.
