Lavrov met with representatives of the Jewish community in the US

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov on September 18 in the framework of participation in the 72nd session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in new York met with leaders of the Jewish community of the United States, reported on Tuesday, September 19, the official website of the Russian foreign Ministry.

During the meeting the head of Russian diplomacy with the representatives of the Jewish community held an exchange of views on topical issues of relations between Russia and the United States and several international issues, including settlement of the armed conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Palestinian-Israeli settlement.”

As noted on Smolenskaya square, great attention was paid to the problems of combating terrorism, extremism, anti-Semitism and neo-Nazism.

“Emphasized the importance of efforts to preserve the memory of events and victims of the Second world war,” — said in Russian depodesta.
