The Russian foreign Minister Segrey Lavrov on the sidelines of the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations stated that the tense situation on the Korean Peninsula requires all the countries of the region of constant interaction to a joint search for ways out of the crisis.

“A constant dialogue between Russia and Japan on security issues in northeast Asia is highly demanded in connection with the critical situation on the Korean Peninsula,” – said Lavrov, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“The exchange of opinions between Moscow and Tokyo on international relations, including security issues in our region generally, is very useful for our countries,” – said the Russian Minister, adding that the current opportunity to exchange views on these and other issues is very valuable.
“My Japanese counterpart Taro Kono paid special attention to the situation on the Korean Peninsula. It is very important that the settlement here occurred through dialogue between all stakeholders”, – said the head of the Russian foreign Ministry.
