- The Kremlin explained the reason for the failure of Putin’s participation in the UN General Assembly
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov on Monday, September 18, stated that the Russian head of state Vladimir Putin was not able to participate in the General Assembly of the United Nations, the Russian delegation which was headed by the foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov, due to tight and busy presidential schedule.
“The President’s schedule did not allow him to participate in a session of the UN General Assembly”, — said the speaker of the Kremlin.
A spokesman for the Russian leader also said that Putin is not the first year ignores the UN General Assembly session that has no negative impact on the position of the Russian delegation.
