Matviyenko said about the tendency to improve relations between Russia and Moldova

The head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko at the meeting with the President of the Republic Igor Dodon said that now there is “the tendency to improvement of relations” in which it sees the merit of the Moldovan leader who fulfills the promises made to the people.

“While we understand that the situation is difficult and is developing very difficult. It was a lot of unpleasant events during this time: the ban on entry to Moldova politicians, deputies,” said Moldova. She also remembered the episode with the prohibition of entry to the special envoy of the Russian President on Transnistria Dmitry Rogozin, calling it “beyond all common sense and international law.”

“But that’s the reality, that’s life, so we are not overdramatising this situation,” at the same time, said Matvienko.

She added that Russia has consistently expressed interest in the development and expansion of relations with Moldova.
