Matviyenko called a flawed state, calling not to allow Russia at the Olympics in 2018

The head of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko has criticized a joint statement by the anti-doping agencies of 17 States in which appeal was launched to prevent Russia at the Olympics in 2018 in South Korea’s Pyeongchang. Russian athletes who have not taken performance-enhancing drugs, can participate in these Games, just under a neutral flag, said in the statement.

“Look at the list of States is the same as our traditional “friends” who are trying any event to use to whip up Russophobia, for the discharge of confrontation”, – said Matvienko, reports TASS.

In her opinion, “States that afford such statements, is a flawed state, they short-sighted”.
