Lukashenko invited Putin to attend military exercises “Zapad-2017” in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will take part in the active phase that started 14 September military maneuvers the Armed forces of Belarus and Russia “West-2017”, the Belarusian leader will visit the territory of the Republic, said on Friday, 15 September, BelTA.

As stated by press Secretary of the Belarusian President Natalia Eismont, Lukashenko has sent the Russian colleague Vladimir Putin an invitation to attend military exercises on the territory of Belarus. However, to date no official response from the Kremlin on this account has not yet been reported.

Earlier, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Putin on Monday, September 18, will attend the exercises “West-2017” in the Leningrad region.
