The LDPR in the Duma introduced a draft resolution on Amnesty


In documents of the state Duma a draft decree “On declaring Amnesty in connection with 100 th anniversary of the October revolution of 1917.” This document was submitted by a group of deputies from LDPR.

The explanatory Memorandum States that the proposal is based on the historical traditions of Russian statehood and aims to strengthen the authority of the government.

It is proposed to apply the act of Amnesty to the “fairly limited circle of persons, based on social and age criteria”. Mainly talking about the people who committed the crime aged less than 18 years, pregnant women, women older than 55 years and women who have minor children and also of men-pensioners and the disabled.

It is proposed not to extend Amnesty to the perpetrators of serious crimes.
