Ukraine decided to prepare for a “massive influx” of migrants from Russia

The government of Ukraine has ordered the Ministry of foreign Affairs and the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to include Russia in the list of the state migration risk. To do this plan until September 30 of the current year.

Also, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers ordered to fulfill the decree of the President of Petro Poroshenko “On strengthening the control of entry to Ukraine, departure from Ukraine of foreigners and persons without citizenship, respect them rules of stay on the territory of Ukraine”.

In early September, Poroshenko has approved the proposed Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) plan to strengthen control over the entry and exit from the country of foreigners, including Russians, as well as persons without citizenship.

In the context of these changes from 1 January 2018 and will be operational system of biometric verification and identification of citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and persons without citizenship.

Note that Moscow has repeatedly stated that in case the complexity of the procedure of admission of Russian citizens on the territory of Ukraine will be taken in response. In Russia on a permanent basis, according to official data, there are up to 4 million citizens of Ukraine.
