The press attache of the Russian Embassy in Germany Denis Mikerin commented on the response log Focus on article, which contained insulting phrase in address of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As RIA “Novosti” he said that he had received a response from the editor-in-chief of the journal of Robert Schneider, but did not have permission for its publication. However, now there is a statement by the press Secretary of the journal of Alice Wagner and it coincides with the response of Schneider, so the Embassy decided to comment on it.

The answer, said Mikerin, “does not meet our expectations for a normal dialogue in the media environment on equal terms, perhaps, critical, but constructive, full of respect and responsibility.”

He stressed that the Embassy do not lose hope.

Recall that in an article published in the journal, contained the phrase: “of Course she is afraid of dogs, Putin, but she’s definitely not afraid of the dog-Putin.” Russian Embassy felt that the magazine should apologize.

In the journal reported that in the German language the word “dog” (der Hund) has a value of “die hard”, so no insult was not, and was just a play on words.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said earlier that the publication of offensive statements in the address of Vladimir Putin casts a shadow on the reputation of the journal itself.
