The Russian Embassy demanded an apology for insulting Putin in a German magazine

Russian diplomats drew attention to the provocative phrase in the German magazine Focus concerning Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the article on the Chancellor of Germany, there is a passage: “of Course, she’s afraid of dogs, Putin, but she’s definitely not afraid of dogs, Putin” (translation quoted by RIA Novosti). The author apparently tried to achieve the effect of word games.

Embassy of Russia in Germany found the statement offensive, expressing hope that this is just “unfortunate linguistic exercise journalist.” Press Secretary of the Russian diplomatic mission Denis Mikerin in Facebook called the editor of the magazine to find an opportunity to apologize for making “Faile”.
