The diplomatic service of the European Union has launched a special web site designed to provide “information opposition” of Russia. The project is implemented in the framework of the “EU vs disinformation” and is available in three languages: Russian, German and English.
In the accompanying information of the website says that it was created in the framework of the campaign “aimed at better predicting, consideration and response to the Pro-Kremlin disinformation”, reports RIA Novosti.
Note that the increased influence of Russia in the information field has long been a concern in the West. In November 2016, the EU Parliament adopted a resolution called “Strategic communication of the EU as a counter-propaganda of the third parties.” The document suggests the introduction of censorship against a number of Russian media.
Later, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, commenting on the adoption of this resolution, congratulated Russian journalists with “productive work” and noted “obvious degradation” ideas about democracy in the West.
