NASA warned about a deadly threat to humanity: it’s not an asteroid

Experts of the National office for Aeronautics and space research (NASA) warned of a new threat to humanity, which are considered more dangerous than the fall of an asteroid or beginning of Third world war. It was possible eruption of the volcano.

According to research by American scientists, the eruption will not only lead to the defeat of all living things within a radius of 150 kilometers, but also will result in a kind of “nuclear winter” – the Earth will be shrouded by dust and gas, which will be a hindrance to the sunlight. And most importantly – a similar situation will occur for at least several years. All this will lead to a serious reduction in temperature of the planet, destruction of crops and mass starvation.

Currently, there are about 20 so-called supervolcanoes. One of the most dangerous is the Yellowstone volcanic Caldera, located in the national Park in the North-Western United States in Wyoming. About the future super eruption here say for the past few years. Only in the last two months, seismologists have recorded in the area about a half thousand earthquakes. All of this suggests that the volcano is gradually awakening from a dream.

Its last eruption occurred about 640 thousand years ago. Then his “hat” collapsed, forming a Caldera, a huge circular basin with a circumference of about 150 kilometers.

NASA has developed a plan to prevent the eruption. Specialists are going to “cool” the volcano, banishing the water through the hole, done it, and then using the resulting steam to produce electricity. However, according to some of their colleagues, such procedures can only delay the inevitable catastrophe.
