According to Heather Nauert, the latest Russian-American “exchange of courtesies” in the diplomatic sphere is not conducive to the normalization of relations between the two countries.

“The United States would like to have relations with Russia improved,… without the continuation of this diplomatic “eye for an eye”, – said state Department spokesman, commenting on the September 2 closure of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in San Francisco and the Russian trade representative offices in new York and Washington and by conducting searches, as well as depriving employees of the establishments of diplomatic immunity.</p>

.”Russian diplomats decided not to accompany us during the inspection of Embassy of the Russian Federation in new York. The reason I don’t know. Our inspections as if they were not named, were perfectly legal,… and inspection of the Russian diplomatic facilities was conducted by the security service of the state Department, the FBI was not”, – she said.

The head a press-services of the American foreign Ministry also noted that the United States would like to like “swordplay” with Russia to be over.

“There are many areas where, we hope, Russia and the United States could cooperate”, – concluded Nauert.
