Kislyak: the US lost the ability for absolute domination

Former Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, in an interview with reporters said that the United States wants to maintain a dominant position in the world, despite the fact that opportunities for this are almost gone. However, the White house refuses to acknowledge that the situation for US has changed.

“There are underlying factors that determine US policy in the world. Among them is the confidence of Americans that they are an exceptional country, by God anointed to lead all other… of the state long-term inertia… the United States is hard to adapt to the changing world where they no longer have the ability for absolute domination… It’s obvious to many in Europe and Asia, but not for the political class in the US…. They don’t want to agree with objective changes in the world… Plus, Russia was the country that is willing to set aside their own interests, including by force, which became for Americans a challenge that they are unable to accept… This period will be difficult and long. But in any case, it is an objective reality. The world is changing,” he said.
