Turchynov accused Putin of the willingness to provide military support to the Donbas

The Secretary of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on Tuesday, 5 September, said Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened the supply of weapons to militias breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics in the zone of armed conflict in the Donbass, reported on the official website of the Ukrainian authorities.

In his words, “hysterical attacks” Putin on the inadmissibility of postavk lethal weapons to Ukraine were “the evidence of Russia’s readiness to demonstrative continued funding and providing arms” of the militia of Donbass.

Turchynov added that in the territory “occupied areas” of Donetsk and Lugansk regions was not “base of storage of military equipment and ammunition of the Armed forces of Ukraine”, therefore, he argues, “the supply of military equipment, ammunition and weapons” militia could carry out the “just Russia”.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that it does not exercise military assistance DND and LNR. The only support that Russia gives it the self-proclaimed republics is to provide humanitarian aid.
