Prime Minister of Japan: the absence of a peace Treaty hampered cooperation with Russia


Speaking on the TV channel “Russia-1”, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe expressed his position on signing a peace Treaty between Russia and Japan at the end of the second world war.

“After the war, it has been over 70 years… it is not Normal that a peace Treaty between our countries still have not signed… a Consequence, all the possibilities of relations between Russia and Japan, which have huge potential, and remain unsolved… Hope that reinforcement of relations between our countries will eventually lead to the conclusion of a peace Treaty. I intend, together with President Putin to continue to make efforts in this direction,” he said.
