Ukraine reacted to Putin’s statement on the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass

The Ukrainian foreign Ministry on Tuesday, September 5, responded to the statement of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about the possibility of discussing in the UN Security Council resolution on the introduction of peacekeepers of the United Nations in a zone of armed conflict in the Donbass.

“Took into account the statement of the President of Russia about the possibility of deploying UN peacekeepers in the Donbass, published in the media. We believe that the deployment of the UN peacekeeping operation can contribute to the restoration of peace and security in the East of Ukraine”, — is spoken in the comment of the MFA of the Square.

Ukrainian diplomats are ready to work on this issue.

“In this regard, the permanent mission of Ukraine in new York was instructed to hold consultations with delegations in the UN security Council,” — said the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.

While official Kyiv underlined that “there can be no question about obtaining consent for the conduct of peacekeeping operations from illegal armed groups (as in Kiev called militias of Donbass), operating on the territory of individual regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.
