Peskov clarified Putin’s position on the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday, September 5, explained the position of the head of the state Vladimir Putin on its proposal to consider the security Council of the United Nations the draft resolution on placement of UN peacekeeping forces in the zone of armed conflict in the Donbass.

According to the speaker of the Kremlin, the Russian leader never objected to the deployment of peacekeepers in the Donbas region with the consent of all parties to the conflict. At the same time, Peskov noted that clarity on the composition of the peacekeeping forces in the Donbass yet.

“The fact that this topic is so eventual is placed on the agenda for a long time, but no clarity no one. Putin has never objected to the dispatch of peacekeepers,” — said Peskov.

According to him, the Russian President has always stressed that this is only possible after dilution of the parties and only with the mutual consent of both the Ukraine and samoprovzglashenny Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics.
