In his tweet Elon Musk also mentions China. In all likelihood, he means the government of that country and announced last month a three-phase plan to transform China into a world center of artificial intelligence by 2030.

The entrepreneur fears that in the near future, the same position that China and Russia will take every country in the world that have highly developed computer technology. According to Elon musk, the competition for superiority in the development of artificial intelligence at the state level may lead to starting a Third world war.

This is not the first case when Elon Musk shares his fears of this kind. Previously, he expressed the opinion that the uncontrolled development of artificial intelligence is a greater threat to humanity than the escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula. However, it is worth noting that this idea of the billionaire expressed not in the context of the most recent events, and some time before 12 August.

Before that, Musk said that because of the potential dangers of artificial intelligence into its development, may want to impose limits, then in the vast Twitter in a discussion with him came mark Zuckerberg. The founder of social network Facebook called the position of the founder of Tesla “quite irresponsible” and he accused his opponent of “limited understanding” of the subject of the discussion”.
