Zakharova clarified the status of the staff of the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco

The staff of the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco have lost that status, as the Washington decision now is not the Consulate. However, they have diplomatic immunity and they are now considered employees of the Russian Embassy, sent to San Francisco, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in Facebook.

Not being able to work in the office premises of the Consulate General, they may until 1 October to live in the residential part of the building, she added.
