The Ministry of foreign Affairs of great Britain insisted on the lock in the “Twitter” microblog @BritshEmb1917 created a RT to commemorate the centenary of the 1917 revolution for a project 1917LIVE. The project tells the story of the revolution as if from the faces of contemporaries of those events
According to The Guardian, the British foreign Ministry were not satisfied with the use of the state symbolics without their permission. Account used the official emblem of the Agency and acted as “the official account of the United Kingdom in the Russian Empire on Twitter”.
Crotti described the actions of London as an expression of arrogance and contempt “towards innovative attempts to build bridges — digital and other”.
