Russia’s permanent representative to the UN said about working on the negotiations on the DPRK

Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia on Saturday, September 2, stated that Russia is making every possible effort in the UN security Council to work on the beginning of negotiations on the missile program-Korean people’s Democratic Republic and the resolution of the tension of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

According to the Russian diplomat, Moscow is going to “revive” the six-party format of the talks, however, “as yet have not reached.”

“We continue to work on together with our Chinese friends, Japanese, American and other colleagues to develop something that could give a guideline of how to involve stakeholders, first in negotiations, and ultimately in the politico-diplomatic settlement to this problem,” — said Nebenzia.

However, he noted that the Russian and Chinese diplomats and other members of the UN security Council said that the path of sanctions seem to have been futile and outdated.
