Media: the Danish authorities intend to “push” the law against the “Nord stream-2”


The Danish authorities have developed a bill that may allow to obstruct and “basically rejected” the attempt of construction of the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” from Russia to Germany under the Baltic sea, reports Politiken.

Application for the laying of the second branch “Northern stream” has been introduced in the Ministry of energy of Denmark in April 2017. However, the authorities of the European Kingdom, a new draft law intended to reassign this issue to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the country.

As noted, if the Danish foreign Ministry believes that the foreign application for the construction of “Nord stream-2” in Danish territorial waters threatens the interests and security of Denmark, it can be rejected. It is planned that the Danish Parliament will consider the proposals of the government in October.
