Ex-Pentagon official criticized Washington’s decision to close genkosuljstvo of the Russian Federation in San Francisco

Former Pentagon official Michael Maloof in an interview with RT commented on Washington’s demand to close the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco, as well as two diplomatic facility in the USA. According to him, he regards it as “a demonstrative step.”

“For me it’s more for show, given the state Department statement about parity. In fact, none of the representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission are not expelled, they just move to another Consulate,” he said.

Earlier, a former Pentagon official said that the efforts of U.S. intelligence, Russia has become a “Boogeyman”.

We will remind, on Thursday, August 31, Washington demanded that Moscow closed its Consulate General in San Francisco, as well as two diplomatic facility in Washington and new York.

Earlier, the US stopped issuing visas in their Consulate General in Russia. Now apply for a nonimmigrant visa only at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, whereas before the interview was perhaps also in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.
