The SBU denied the abduction of the journalist “the First channel” in Kiev

The official representative of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Elena Gitlyanskaya declared innocence of the Agency to the disappearance of the journalist of the Russian “First channel” Anna Kurbatova. An organization called the kidnapping story “nonsense”.

“We don’t do kidnappings. We act solely under the Ukrainian legislation”, – Gitlyanskaya declared in an interview with RBC.

Earlier in a press-service “the First channel” announced the kidnapping of his correspondent — 29-year-old native of Stavropol Anna Kurbatova. According to the TV channel, unknown persons forced the journalist into a car in Central Kiev and taken away in an unknown direction.

Later on the “First” said Kurbatov could kidnap the staff of SBU. In turn the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko reported that he knows nothing about the disappearance of the Russians.

However, he suggested that the security service could detain a journalist in a “lawful manner”, it just “sat” phone.

Note that a few days ago Kurbatov made the list of the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”, which specializiruetsya on finding an “enemy of Ukraine”. It, in particular, was accused of conducting “anti-Ukrainian” propaganda.
