Japan shot down North Korean rocket due to the lack of threats

The Minister of defense of Japan, Itsunori of Andara explained why launched on Tuesday, the DPRK missile was not shot down. According to the Minister, the missile was not a threat to Japan.

“The rocket flight over our territory is a serious threat that was not there previously. It threatens peace and security in the region and is a violation of security Council resolutions,” the Minister told reporters at a briefing.

Flying over the territory of the Japanese island of Hokkaido the North Korean missile covered a distance of 2700 kilometers with a maximum altitude of about 550 kilometers. The rocket fell in 1180 kilometers to the East of the island.
