In Kiev decided not to tighten the rules of entry of Russians to Ukraine

The Ukrainian authorities will soon tighten the rules of entry for citizens of Russia, as previously reported by the media. It is reported by Ukrainian edition of “Vesti”, citing the Ukrainian foreign Ministry and its sources in the Parliament and the government.

It is noted that Kiev will be limited to measures that were adopted in July by the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC).

According to the decision, from 1 January 2018, the Russians on the border will have to undergo biometric monitoring also will be conducted electronic inventory and registration of Russians living in Ukraine.

As have informed “news” the head of consular security Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich, the Agency is not aware of any changes in existing rules of crossing the state border by citizens of Russia.

In turn, a source in the Verkhovna Rada and government of Ukraine does not confirm information about the fact that when crossing the border, the Russians will have to fill out a questionnaire either in English or in Ukrainian language.

Last week Kommersant reported that the Ukrainian authorities intend to tighten visa requirements for Russian citizens on the territory of the country. It was noted that crossing the border will be possible only on the biometric passport, in addition, Russian citizens will be required to fill out a form on the website of the MFA of Ukraine.
